SAME SAME BUT DIFFERENT
We were waiting for this one! Badlands was one of the best adventures we have been involved on 2023 and now we have the movie from Cynthia Carson racing Badlands and showing a different ultra cycling life.
We had so much joy watching it and having memories from our trip there too with our friends from Velocio, 3T and Fizik.
Jakob Herrmann sets new world record in Ski Mountaineering
On January 27th at 3:00 PM in Radstadt, Austria, Skimo athlete Jakob Herrmann embarked on an ambitious project: to cover 24,000 vertical meters on touring skis within 24 hours.
The DYNAFIT athlete, after enduring hours of relentless skiing, achieved a new world record. He conquered the approximately 710 meters and 2.5 km ascent on his home trail in Radstadt a total of 34 times. Herrmann surpassed the previous record set by Kilian Jornet in 2019, which stood at 23,486 vertical meters within 24 hours, by an impressive 756 meters.
Our team is very happy with this new Record, it was a pleasure to share some time in Chamonix with him, so Jakob CONGRATULATIONS!

Maria’s Recommendations
You’ve asked us to share more stuff from the team, so we will start adding this section to the end of our newsletter, each week one of our team will share something they loved during the week.
We have a podcast recommendation from Maria to all of you and it is about cycling…
Maria: I’m more into videos or movies than podcasts, but this one is pretty interesting, The Hard Way is a podcast hosted by Andrew Vontz that basically share stories of how hard things build stronger humans.
This one in particular is about how Alexey Vermeulen & Avery Stumm manage their youtube channel, dedicated to tell the story of Alexey’s experiences as pro cyclist and also the story of their relationship as a content creation team.
This episode is about much more than pro cycling. They talk about logistics, teamwork, the creative process, how doing hard things with friends makes success more fun and much more.
Enjoy :)
