Monday Break - Issue 160
From the lands of Southeast Asia to a little Apres ski. Another week of the happenings in the world of sport.
Gobik at Il Festino
We spent the past days in Yogyakarta for Il Festino, supporting Gobik as the official jersey partner and continuing the brand’s expansion across Southeast Asia. The event gave us a closer look at a cycling culture that is growing fast and shaping its own identity that is community-driven, energetic and deeply connected to the sport.

Throughout the week, we connected with riders, partners and organisers to see how Gobik is resonating locally and where the brand can grow next. These on-the-ground insights continue to shape future work and strengthen our presence in the region.
Mental Athletic issue #4 Launch with Kask
Mental Athletic visited Barcelona’s Sandwich Club and Girona’s Velodrom Odeon to present the fourth issue of their magazine, created in collaboration with the helmet brand KASK. It was a fantastic afternoon filled with music & magazines — a relaxed and inspiring gathering that brought the community together to celebrate cycling culture and creativity.

UCI Gravel World Series 2026.
More races. More continents. More UCI points. More opportunities.
The gravel world opens the week with a bit of debate bubbling beneath the surface. As the discipline continues to grow at full speed, riders and organizers alike are navigating questions about identity, scale and where gravel should go next.
That conversation sharpened again with the UCI’s announcement of an expanded 2026 Gravel World Series calendar — now stretching to 45 events across 32 countries.
For some, it’s a sign of welcome global momentum; for others, a reminder of how quickly the scene is evolving. Either way, the stage is set for what could be the sport’s most ambitious and wide-reaching season yet.
KIPCHOGE RAN 21 KM IN 2 HOURS IN BANGKOK.
THE REASON? HE PACED THAILAND’S QUEEN.
The fact: The GOAT marathon runner, Eliud Kipchoge, completed the Bangkok half marathon at a 2-hour pace. This wasn’t a mistake—it was a powerful gesture of respect and promotion while running shoulder-to-shoulder with Her Majesty Queen Suthida.
Sami Sauri wins Across Andes :)
What a way to start the week: Sami Sauri has won Across Andes followed by Ivy Pedersen & Nathalie Baillon — and the women’s cycling community showed up like never before. A powerful, united, unstoppable force. The perfect season finale with an incredible group of women riding through the magic of Patagonia.
Also in the men side Andrés Tagle was the first one arriving followed by Sebastian Breuer.
Après Ski with the swoosh and Jacquemus
Nike and Jacquemus take their partnership to the mountains with a new Après Ski collection built around technical design and winter performance. The line is led by triple-layer GORE-TEX jackets and pants, supported by a mix of women’s and men’s pieces adapted for both the slopes and the chalet.
A continuation of the aesthetic the two brands have shaped since 2022—Nike’s technical edge filtered through Jacquemus’ minimal, fashion-driven lens.
