Il Lombardia with Kask
This past Saturday our team was in Italy for this year’s edition of Il Lombardia for another weekend of racing. For this year’s edition, we partnered with KASK to bring the brand closer to the fans and make its presence felt on the iconic Boccola climb.

The road was filled with color, energy, and anticipation. Our team handed out custom KASK merchandise in the brand’s unmistakable lime green, creating a wave of visibility that stretched across the entire climb. Everywhere you looked: hats, flags, and bells, the crowd became part of the experience, amplifying the KASK identity in the most authentic way possible.
A true homecoming for KASK, and a perfect showcase of how brand and sport meet on the road.
Ironman Women’s World Championship
The women’s edition of the IRONMAN World Championship in Kona delivered a demanding and unpredictable race, marked by high temperatures, ocean swells, and tactical shifts across all three disciplines.
Lucy Charles-Barclay (GBR) led from the start, dominating the 3.8 km swim and exiting the water in 49 minutes, ahead of the main chase group. On the 180 km bike leg, Taylor Knibb (USA) displayed her trademark power, taking the lead after Charles-Barclay served a one-minute penalty.
However, both early leaders faced setbacks during the marathon. Knibb struggled with muscle cramps and heat exhaustion, eventually withdrawing midway through the run, while Charles-Barclay also stepped off the course due to dehydration and fatigue.
Their exits opened the door for a dramatic reshuffling at the front. Norway’s Solveig Løvseth maintained a steady pace throughout and delivered a strong final 10 km to take an unexpected but commanding victory, securing the 2025 IRONMAN World Championship title.
2025 UCI Gravel World Championships
The 2025 UCI Gravel World Championships delivered two action-packed races filled with pace, tactics, and unexpected turns on a demanding course. In the women’s race, the Dutch riders set the tone early. Lorena Wiebes and Marianne Vos controlled the front of the pack, pushing a relentless rhythm. In the final kilometers, Wiebes powered ahead to claim the rainbow jersey, followed by Vos in second and Silvia Persico in third.
The men’s race saw an equally intense battle. The peloton quickly broke into several groups, with Florian Vermeersch and Frits Biesterbos leading the charge. Despite late attacks from Matej Mohorič and Tom Pidcock, Vermeersch held strong to take the world title.

LEGO x Nike: Building Movement
In Shanghai, play and sport come together in a bold new way. LEGO China and Nike have reimagined the playground of Baoshan No. 2 Central Primary School, turning it into a modular space that encourages both creativity and movement.
The design takes cues from the geometry of a simple LEGO brick, using its modular form to create adaptable structures for climbing, balancing, and exploring. The idea is simple yet powerful: to show how design can inspire kids to move freely and think differently.
Rooted in Nike’s Move to Zero initiative and LEGO’s Build the Change program, the project stands as a playful example of how education, sustainability, and sport can meet through design. For full details check out the link below!
Trail & Tread: Convergence of Off-Road Sports
In his latest Built on Bikes article, Kyle Dawes explores how trail running and off-road cycling are beginning to share more than just terrain. From Life Time introducing trail runs at cycling festivals to athletes like Heather Jackson and Maude Farrell crossing between disciplines, the two worlds are clearly converging.
Dawes suggests that a unified off-road calendar could spark faster growth, attract new sponsors, and expand media reach for endurance sports. It is a thought-provoking look at where the next wave of outdoor competition might be heading.
A must-read for anyone following the business and culture of endurance sport.
