Monday Break - Issue 140
A new week, a new mix - here is your round-up of everything happening in the world of sports.
UTMB Vall d’Aran: a weekend to remember
UTMB Vall d’Aran brought the world’s trail community to the Pyrenees, and we were on the ground with Neversecond, Mount to Coast, and Trail Running Review. We managed Neversecond’s booth presence throughout the week, making sure every participant had access to the fuel they needed before and after the effort.

Midweek, we linked up with our partners to host a social shakeout run. It was easy pace, open trails, and familiar faces. The kind of pre race moment that reminds you why this scene matters.
Arthur Joyeux Bouillon Wins the VDA
In the headline event of UTMB Vall d’Aran, Arthur Joyeux Bouillon delivered a masterclass. The On athlete ran strong and controlled across 163 kilometers to take the win in the VDA, the biggest race of the weekend.
We were proud to support On on site and help cover Arthur’s effort from start to finish. A commanding performance and a big result on a major stage.
INEOS Grenadiers x TotalEnergies
INEOS Grenadiers is getting a new look, or at least, a new logo on the chest. The team just announced a jersey partnership with TotalEnergies, a move that sees the French energy company become an official sponsor, placing its mark on the squad's kit just in time for the Tour de France.
To mark the occasion, a new jersey has been created by Gobik, continuing their long-standing collaboration with the team. The updated design will be worn by the riders throughout the Tour, debuting on the sport’s biggest stage.
While the team’s name and core identity remain untouched, this signals a growing trend in cycling: the return of big-ticket, multi-brand collaborations that feel more F1 than traditional WorldTour. The deal kicks off immediately and strengthens ties between the two heavyweights in performance, innovation, and global visibility.
MAAP x Hoka: First Steps Together
For the first time, HOKA and MAAP have joined forces, blending peak trail performance with a design ethos rooted in contemporary cycling and streetwear. The result is a limited-edition Tecton X 2 that reflects both brands’ shared values. With MAAP’s Concrete Orbit color palette layered onto HOKA’s race-proven silhouette, this drop feels less like a rework. One that leans into the growing overlap between outdoor function and lifestyle form.
Ahead of the official July 15 release, the two brands are hosting a series of GroupTherapy events in Melbourne, Berlin, and Los Angeles. These pre-launch gatherings bring local communities together around shared movement and community well-being
Rouleur Goes Members-Only
In an open letter to readers, Rouleur publisher Matteo Cassina announced a major shift: most of Rouleur’s digital content will now live behind a paywall. The move comes in response to the unsustainable economics of free media, a system that, as Cassina puts it, rewards clickbait and punishes quality. “Free content has become a trap,” he writes. “Rouleur was never meant to be that kind of platform.”
Instead, the team is doubling down on purpose driven storytelling. Rouleur is not chasing traffic. It is chasing meaning. And it is asking readers to come along for the ride, not just as subscribers, but as stakeholders in a more human and more sustainable future for cycling media.
Wilier Triestina Filante SLR FdM
It all begins with a glint: a subtle, pure silver, like the first frost at dawn. The surface is still motionless, but something stirs beneath. Invisible. Inevitable.
