Running is having a resurgence
Once a simple morning jog, running is transforming in stride. Strava run uploads rose 4% YoY, while race participation leaped by 8%. More runners are going off-road, with 47% hitting the trails, and trail events have doubled since pre-pandemic. Ultramarathons saw 40% first-time participants, and marathon fever surged, with 20% more finishers and record-breaking applications for major events like Chicago and London.
