Miche Unveils the new Kleos 2026
WIDER, LIGHTER, AND NOW WITH AN EVEN MORE ATTRACTIVE PRICE
Miche officially announces the launch of the Kleos 2026 range, a new line of carbon fiber wheels that marks another step forward in the brand’s high-end offering.
Available in 42 mm, 50 mm, 67 mm, and 67/85 mm profiles, the new wheels are the result of two years of research and development to deliver cutting-edge technologies at a significantly more competitive price than in the past, along with a refreshed design.
Technological innovation: a further step forward
The main breakthrough of the Kleos 2026 lies in the adoption of a 23 mm internal rim width for the 42 mm and 50 mm profiles — a substantial increase compared to the previous 21 mm, reflecting the market’s evolution towards larger-section tires.
This upgrade is not just about numbers: it significantly improves tire–rim interaction, ensuring greater lateral stability, superior riding comfort, and optimized aerodynamic performance even with 28–30 mm tires, which are now the standard in modern cycling.
Construction and materials: Italian excellence
The rims are made from T700 UD carbon fiber with a “mini-hook” profile. Dual-system compatibility — both tubeless and with traditional inner tubes — ensures maximum versatility, allowing riders to choose the setup that best suits their needs. At the core of the technology are AL 7075-T6 aluminum hubs, entirely designed and CNC-machined at Miche’s Italian facilities. These components feature high-quality EZO bearings to deliver optimal smoothness and long-lasting durability.
The wheel build adopts a 24-spoke pattern (16+8 configuration) with stainless steel spokes — a solution that strikes the ideal balance between torsional stiffness, low weight, and long-term reliability. This setup has undergone extensive testing both in the lab and in real-world conditions, ensuring consistent performance in every situation.
The numbers don’t lie
Despite the increased internal width, the new Kleos wheels maintain extremely competitive weights:
Kleos 42: 1,515 grams
Kleos 50: 1,545 grams
The tubeless-ready versions add just 20 grams to the total weight — a minimal increase that underlines the engineering excellence behind the project. These figures position the Kleos 2026 among the top-performing products in its category, with a stiffness-to-weight ratio that stands up to any comparison.
The high-end, now for everyone
One of the most significant revolutions of the Kleos 2026 lies in its positioning strategy. Miche has chosen to make high-end carbon technology more accessible, substantially reducing prices compared to previous generations, without compromising on quality.
This is a concrete commitment to ensuring that top-level performance is no longer a privilege for the few but an experience open to anyone who shares a passion for cycling. With this new range, Miche aims to bring the engineering and quality of its products to a broader audience, while remaining faithful to the uncompromising standards that have defined the company for over forty years.
Engineered for everyone: from amateurs to pros
The new Kleos 2026 wheels have been engineered to excel across every road discipline. The 42 mm and 50 mm profiles are ideal for hilly and mountainous routes, where handling and responsiveness are crucial. The 67 mm and 67/85 mm versions, on the other hand, are tailored for those seeking maximum aerodynamic advantage on flat terrain and time trials.
Both configurations are UCI-approved for competitive use and are already being tested in pre-commercialization by athletes from Miche’s sponsored Continental team.
