Gobik presents the X bib short
The brand redefines technical minimalism with a new bib short that reduces design to the essentials: less weight, less friction, and a deeper connection between the rider and their performance.
Gobik takes another step forward in textile innovation with the launch of the X bib short. Under the claim “Get in the zone”, the brand introduces a garment designed to eliminate any interference between the cyclist’s body and their performance, allowing cadence, focus, power, and breathing to flow without distractions.
The X is built on a philosophy of absolute refinement and maximum performance, offering high-end features within a mid-range price segment. This model positions itself as one of the brand’s essential pieces, defined by technical minimalism, true lightness, and absolute comfort.
158 grams of precision
Weighing just 158 g (size M), the new X bib short delivers a genuine “second-skin” experience. Its wraparound pattern has been optimized to reduce seams almost entirely, eliminating friction points and unnecessary pressure.
One of the most notable innovations is the raw-cut leg finishing. Unlike conventional bib shorts, it eliminates internal silicone grippers, achieving a firm and stable fit through the fabric’s own tension. The result is secure support without aggressiveness, leaving no marks on the skin and ensuring total freedom of movement.
Material engineering: DUALKNIT PRO, OEKO-TEX®, Elastic Interface® and Graphene
At the core of the garment is DUALKNIT PRO, a double circular-knit polyamide fabric that balances three key pillars: elasticity, durability, and superior breathability. Certified OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 and featuring 50+ UPF sun protection, it is designed to perform in a temperature range of +15 to +35 °C, making it a versatile option for both road and gravel riding.
In the upper section, the ergonomic raw-cut seamless straps incorporate graphene yarn. This cutting-edge material plays a key role in thermal regulation and odor neutralization, limiting moisture buildup during peak effort. In addition, the brand continues to focus on designs that enhance efficiency and comfort, incorporating a rear magnetic closure in the women’s version and a thermosealed opening in the men’s version.
For saddle contact, Gobik relies on Elastic Interface® technology, integrating the K10 graphene chamois (for men) and K9 (for women), ensuring absolute comfort on long-distance rides.
The ultimate technical wardrobe staple
The X bib short enters the market with a vision of permanence. Although the initial launch features two colors as a seasonal preview, the color range will expand throughout the summer to offer multiple tones, allowing cyclists to create versatile outfit combinations.
“This bib short doesn’t add superfluous elements — it removes them. It doesn’t compete with performance, it supports it. It doesn’t distract, it disappears,” say Gobik’s design team.
With this launch, Gobik presents a garment that aims to become the essential bib short in any technical cycling kit: a solid foundation on which to build style and speed. Because when everything flows and you get in the zone, the only thing that matters is pedaling.
